Pizza Factory is cooking up something new for Woodland.
First-time franchise group Green Elephant Ventures LLC has signed a lease for a 2,515-square-foot restaurant inside the Westgate Shopping Center at 353 W Main Street.
“This exciting 10-year + 4.5-month lease brings another great dining option to one of Woodland’s most active shopping centers, anchored by Raley’s,” wrote Ethan Conrad Properties, Inc. in a social media post announcing the news.
The new full-service location will span two units (Suites D and E) and seat about 50 patrons, featuring a salad bar and lunch buffet, along with beer and wine.
“We’ll have fresh, quality ingredients, and we’ll be hand-tossing our dough, which is something that Pizza Factory is known for,” one of the franchisees told What Now Sacramento. “Their slogan is, ‘We toss ’em, they’re awesome!’ So we plan to follow through with that.”
Pizza Factory’s focus on community was a major draw for the franchise group, which plans to sponsor Woodland sports teams and other organizations. “We did reach out to other brands to gather information and see what the best fit would be,” the franchisee explained. “But when we spoke with Pizza Factory, we felt the most comfortable. They care about their brand and their training, and they really have a passion for their pizza.”
Founded in 1979, Pizza Factory has grown to over 100 locations across California, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, and Washington, with a Texas outpost also on the way. Nearby locations can be found in Rocklin, Loomis, Walnut Grove, Placerville, and Winters.
Beyond its classic and creative pies, the Pizza Factory menu features calzones, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers like Twisted Breadstix, wings, and garlic bread.
The Woodland restaurant is currently in the permitting stage and is projected to open in early December 2025. Meanwhile, the Sacramento Business Journal reports that another franchise group is exploring Pizza Factory locations in Lincoln, Natomas, and Rio Linda, potentially opening next year.
