A liquor license can be found pending for a new eatery called Pho Fresh 2 U with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The upcoming restaurant is proposed at 8325 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Ste 800. The space was previously occupied by Calvin Urgent Care and Medical Aesthetics.

Licensing records show the business is likely a second location for Pho Fresh, a vegan-centric Vietnamese restaurant in Rancho Cordova. The restaurant name registered under Pho Fresh LLC owned by Dao Tran, which also owns the Rancho Cordova restaurant, according to registration documents.

The flagship Pho Fresh location at 10673 Coloma Road serves a wide variety of Vietnamese noodles, and is best known for its extensive vegan offerings including the house vegan wontons, spicy baked mushrooms, and vegan rice dishes. The restaurant has a 4.4 on Google, 4.1 on Facebook, and 3.9 on Yelp. The owners then opened a sister concept called Vegan Fresh 2 U only a few blocks down from Pho Fresh, featuring a 100% plant-based menu of appetizers, entrees, rice, and noodle dishes.

The pending license suggests the upcoming eatery will also serve beer and wine. Calls and messages left for Tran were unanswered and the owner hadn’t responded to What Now Sacramento’s email request for comments by the time of this coverage.
