A new kind of pizza joint is heating up in Lincoln.
According to social media updates from the business, Rockstar Pizza & Wood-Fired Kitchen is currently under construction at 645 5th St inside the Historic Beermann Plaza, transforming a 50-year-old event center into a rock n’ roll-inspired dining destination.
Steven Pagano and his family, who run The Rockstar Music Academy, The Rockstar Music Shoppe, The Event Center at Historic Beermann Plaza, and Stevie’s Sweets, have teamed up with Phil Woodman of Hops & Hogs Country Smokehouse to launch what they describe as a “truly unforgettable” concept.
Rockstar’s menu hits all the right notes, featuring pizzas made from scratch daily using fresh dough, focaccia bread, and signature herbs and spices grown right onsite in the restaurant’s own greenhouse.
Diners can also expect crowd-pleasing appetizers, fresh salads, and an “epic dessert menu” boasting molten fondue, s’mores, cobblers, and inventive ice cream creations. Drinks will range from ice-cold brews to clever cocktails and what the team dubs “the best wines on the vines.”
Inside, the restaurant promises a lively, electric atmosphere decked out with autographed guitars, one-of-a-kind art, and non-stop concert footage, creating a high-energy yet family-friendly vibe.
Though an official opening date hasn’t been announced yet, the team promises it’s coming soon: “Whether you’re sharing a snack, an app, or a full-on meal with friends, this will be your new favorite spot in downtown Lincoln — right inside The Event Center at Historic Beermann Plaza. It’s right around the corner… we know you can’t wait. We can’t either.
