A Durango, Colorado-based chocolate shop is expanding in Greater Sacramento.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is opening a second area shop in Folsom‘s Palladio at Broadstone at 250 Palladio Parkway, Suite 1335, according to the chain’s website. The new store will take over the former site of The Chocolate Architect, which closed earlier this year after 10 years at the center.
Behind the expansion are franchisees Jessica and Zachary Feuerbach, who also run the chain’s longtime Old Sacramento Waterfront location. The couple announced their plans on Instagram last week.
“🍫 Big news, Folsom! 🎉 Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is coming soon to The Palladio!” they wrote. “Get ready for hand-crafted caramel apples, gourmet chocolates, and all your favorite sweet treats made fresh daily. 😋”
Jessica told What Now Sacramento that while the waterfront location, which debuted 41 years ago, retains an old-world charm, the new Folsom shop will showcase the brand’s refreshed, modern design. “Two totally different feels with the same great product,” she said.
Guests can look forward to all the Rocky Mountain favorites: handcrafted caramel apples, peanut brittle, Rocky Pop caramel-covered popcorn studded with pecans and almonds, and an assortment of gourmet chocolates and gift boxes.
