It looks like a Fair Oaks pizzeria could be making a comeback.
The Round Table Pizza at 4400 San Juan Ave, Suite A is preparing to reopen, according to a recently filed license with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Online reviews suggest the location closed in the summer of 2025, though the reason for its closure remains unclear.
The upcoming eatery will be operated by local franchisees Raj Pooni and Ravinder Kang of KPA CH, Inc. Pooni currently runs several Round Table locations throughout California, including nearby Dixon, Rancho Cordova, and Sacramento sites. In 2022, he signed a six-unit franchise agreement in the Sacramento area with Fat Brands, Inc.
Founded in 1959 by Bill Larson in Menlo Park, Round Table Pizza was built on a commitment to “gold-standard ingredients and time-honored recipes to boldly bake hand-crafted pizza worth sharing,” according to the company’s website. Today, the chain operates more than 400 locations nationwide, including 16 in Greater Sacramento alone.
The menu features premium, customizable pizzas with fresh, hand-rolled dough, signature toppings like linguiça, and rich, savory sauces. Fan favorites include the King Arthur’s Supreme, Montague’s All Meat Marvel, and Chicken & Garlic Gourmet. Many locations also serve wings, salads, and sandwiches, and offer gluten-free cauliflower crusts.
The franchisees have not yet responded to What Now Sacramento‘s requests for comment, and an official reopening date for the upcoming Round Table Pizza location hasn’t been announced. Stay tuned for official updates.
