It looks like Elk Grove is about to get a new watering hole with some serious cowboy flair.
Buckos N Mares is gearing up to open inside The Alley bowling alley at 3443 Laguna Blvd, Suite 150, according to the venue’s website.
“Welcome to Buckos N Mares, Elk Grove’s best-kept secret and your new favorite hideaway,” the site states. “Tucked behind the unassuming bustle of a classic bowling alley, our speakeasy is an ode to the untamed spirit of the Old West—where cowboys and cowgirls gather for a taste of adventure and a sip of something extraordinary.”
The cocktail menu promises “fresh-squeezed juices, crystal-clear hand-chipped ice,” and a premium lineup of whiskeys, tequilas, and other top-shelf spirits. Signature sips like the Maverick will share the spotlight with seasonal libations, and alcohol-free options will also be available.
Inside, guests can expect a dimly lit hideout steeped in Old West charm, with a casual, athletic-free dress code. The space will also be available to rent for parties, corporate events, and other celebrations.
What Now Sacramento has reached out to the owner for an opening timeline, so stay tuned for updates. Once it debuts, Buckos N Mares will welcome guests Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. The venue will share reservation updates on its Instagram page.
