After teasing expansion plans earlier this month, San Francisco-based Sana’a Cafe has officially confirmed its upcoming Elk Grove location.

Local partner Hesham Hussain told What Now Sacramento that the new Yemeni-inspired café will take over the former Kung Fu Tea space, right next to Best Buy at 9135 W Stockton Blvd, Suite 140 in the Laguna Gateway shopping mall.

Known for its authentically crafted Yemeni coffee, Sana’a specializes in traditional roasting and brewing methods, along with chai drinks, pastries, and light bites.

“We take pride in sourcing high-quality coffee beans and spices, ensuring that our customers experience the true essence of Yemen’s coffee heritage as well as Arab hospitality,” said Hussain.

The Elk Grove café is projected to open before the end of 2025. “We are super excited to bring our coffee shop to Elk Grove, and we look forward to becoming an integral part of Elk Grove and bringing a unique vibe,” Hussain added.

Sana’a Cafe currently has one nearby location in Downtown Sacramento. In addition to the upcoming Elk Grove spot, the brand operates nine other California shops, with 15 more in development—including some outside the state.
