A popular South Sacramento pizzeria is on the move.

Pizza House is relocating from its longtime location at 5715 Stockton Blvd in the Fruitridge Center to a smaller storefront just up the road at 5050 Stockton Blvd in the Stockton Plaza, reports the Sacramento Business Journal.

Owner Mikhail Chernioglo told What Now Sacramento he plans to remodel the new storefront with a pizza kitchen and dining area—a project estimated at $85,000, according to city planning documents. While the space itself is slightly smaller, Chernioglo said it comes with a major perk: much more parking for customers.

“My neighbors are killing me with the parking,” he explained. “On the left side there are restaurants, on the right side there are restaurants, and my customers do not have parking for the pickup of the pizza.”

The menu at Pizza House features a wide range of both traditional and creative pies—including vegetarian, Greek, Hawaiian, and Mexican taco pizzas—plus an array of classic sides like salads, wings, calzones, garlic bread, potato wedges, and jalapeño poppers.

Chernioglo hopes to open the new location in about three months and will try to keep the original shop running during the transition, he said.
