It looks like a pair of family-owned Mexican restaurants could soon welcome a third sibling.
Partner Toni Elizabeth Malarkey recently applied for a beer and wine license to debut another Taqueria La Nueva Vallarta location at 1537 S Lower Sacramento Rd, Suite 140 in Lodi.
The original La Nueva Vallarta launched in Roseville in 2021, followed by a Sacramento expansion on Northgate Blvd in 2024. The eatery dishes out relaxed Mexican staples such as tacos, burritos, fajitas, and seafood.
The family also runs sister concept Taqueria La Perla Tapatia, with one location in Arden-Arcade’s Taylor Center and another headed to Elk Grove’s Laguna Promenade. Additionally, business filings hint that they may be involved in a new Mexican restaurant planned for South Land Park.
No official opening date for the Lodi outpost has been announced, and company representatives have not yet responded to What Now Sacramento’s requests for comment. Stay tuned for updates.
