It looks like a legendary steakhouse chain is saddling up for a Rocklin expansion.

Texas Roadhouse is opening a new location at 5160 Commons Drive in the Rocklin Commons shopping mall, according to recent filings with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Leasing documents confirm that the restaurant will take over a 7,926-square-foot space at the center.

Founded in 1993 in Clarksville, Indiana, Texas Roadhouse is celebrated for its hand-cut steaks, made-from-scratch sides, and fan-favorite honey-cinnamon butter rolls. With its country charm and generous portions, the chain has become a go-to destination for steak lovers across the country.

Today, Texas Roadhouse boasts over 700 locations worldwide, including nearby outposts in Elk Grove, Citrus Heights, Tracy, and Modesto. The company also operates sports-themed chain Bubba’s 33 and fast casual burger brand Jaggers.

An opening date for the Rocklin restaurant hasn’t been announced yet, and representatives for the chain could not be reached for comment. However, an Indeed listing shows the upcoming eatery is already searching for a managing partner.
