Last month, What Now Sacramento reported that Los Altos-based bagel favorite The Posh Bagel was planning a new outpost in Elk Grove. Now, the fast-growing chain has set its sights on Lincoln.
The eatery’s website lists a “coming soon” location at 12 Bridges Blvd, though that address is likely a typo, with the correct address expected to be 12 Bridges Drive. That location would be part of the upcoming Twelve Bridges Retail Center planned for the northwest corner of Twelve Bridges Drive and Colonnade Drive.
Founded in 1992 by Jeffrey Ottoveggio, The Posh Bagel has earned a reputation for New York-style bagels, inventive bagel sandwiches, bagel dogs, and house-made cream cheeses. The menu also includes pastries, crêpes, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, specialty coffees, and bubble teas, offering something for nearly every craving.
Currently, the chain operates 18 locations across California, with at least a dozen more in development. All new spots are listed as “coming soon,” though the company has yet to confirm exact opening dates. Other upcoming Sacramento area sites include El Dorado Hills, Rancho Cordova, Folsom, and Granite Bay.
What Now Sacramento has reached out to Ottoveggio for details on the Lincoln location’s opening timeline, as well as updates on the other planned Sacramento-area outposts.
