Last spring, What Now Sacramento reported that Los Altos-based bagel powerhouse The Posh Bagel was planning to expand across the Sacramento region, though not all addresses had been revealed. Now, one more location has been confirmed.
The bagel chain is opening a new outpost at 7717 Laguna Blvd in Elk Grove‘s Laguna Crossroads shopping mall, according ot its website. The upcoming eatery joins a growing roster of Sacramento-area outposts, including sites in El Dorado Hills, Rancho Cordova, Folsom, Granite Bay, and Lincoln.
Founded in 1992 by Jeffrey Ottoveggio, The Posh Bagel has become known for its New York-style bagels, inventive bagel sandwiches, bagel dogs, and house-made cream cheeses.
The menu also features pastries, crêpes, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, specialty coffees, and bubble teas. Popular items include the Bagel with Lox Spread, the Eggwich with Bacon, and the Posh Pizza Bagel.
While Ottoveggio remains committed to preserving The Posh Bagel’s classic bagel offerings, the chain’s website hints at new menu items to further enhance the in-store experience.
Currently, The Posh Bagel operates 18 locations across California, with at least 12 more in development. All upcoming locations are listed as “coming soon,” though specific opening dates have not been announced.
What Now Sacramento has reached out to Ottoveggio for more details on Elk Grove’s launch timeline and the other local outposts.
