According to final awardee information published by Sacramento County, two concepts from Paragary Restaurant Group are among the new eateries coming to Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Cafe Bernado (and Cafe Bernado Express), a casual European cafe dining concept, and Centro Cocina Mexicana, a Mexican fine-dining concept, are scheduled to open in SMF, both overseen by HMSHost.

The jointly opened Cafe Bernado and Café Bernardo Express storefronts will replace the space currently occupied by Esquire Grill in Terminal B. The combined concept is scheduled to open between October 2024 and March 2025. Meanwhile, Centro Cocina Mexicana will share the space with New Helvetia and Magpie Cafe in Terminal A, occupying the Iron Horse Tavern space. It is slated to open between April and August 2025.

Funded by husband-and-wife Randy and Stacy Paragary and chef Kurt Spataro, Sacramento-based Paragary Restaurant Group operates six restaurants throughout the Sacramento area: Paragary’s Midtown, Centro Cocina Mexicana, Cafe Bernado, R15 Bar (Cafe Bernado R15), Berkley Bar (Cafe Bernado Pavilions), and Wiki Bar (Cafe Bernado Davis).

Both concepts in SMF are branded restaurants owned and operated by HMSHost, a world-leading American highway and airport food service company.
