The world’s largest indoor adventure park operator is expanding in the Sacramento region.
According to a press release, Talwinder Singh, a Bay Area-based director of engineering, and Parampreet Singh Pannu, a longtime entrepreneur and local trucking company owner, have signed a three-unit deal to bring Urban Air Adventure Park to Elk Grove, Stockton, and Richmond.
In a conversation with What Now Sacramento, Singh was cautious, noting that nothing is set in stone yet. However, company representative Destiny Garcia confirmed that Elk Grove is in the site selection phase and is expected to create 65 jobs once it opens.
All Urban Air parks feature 20+ attractions designed to keep adrenaline levels high, from ropes courses, zip lines, adventure slides, and obstacle courses to laser tag, dodgeball, go-karts, and more. When hunger hits, the in-park Urban Café serves kid-friendly favorites like pizza, chicken tenders, nachos, and fries.
Founded in 2011 in Southlake, Texas, Urban Air has grown into a global powerhouse with more than 400 parks currently open or in development. California is currently home to four sites in Sacramento, Hanford, Fullerton, and Concord, with another slated to open in Murrieta before the year’s end. Future locations are also planned for Hayward, Palmdale, Gilroy, and Huntington Beach.
“California is an incredible growth market for Urban Air, and we’re thrilled to be expanding our presence here,” said Brand President Tim Sharp in a statement. “Each new park becomes a hub for fun in the community, where kids push their limits, families make memories and adventure is always around the corner.”
