A California-based açai bowl franchise is set to make its Woodland debut this summer.

Vitality Bowls is preparing to open a new location in the Woodland Gateway shopping center at 2061 Bronze Star Dr, Unit 200. First-time franchisees and business partners Harjaspreet Rajasonsi and Kunarveer Singh confirmed the news with What Now Sacramento, citing two main reasons for their decision: taste and health.

Back in college, the first time I tried a Vitality Bowls açai bowl, I thought, ‘This is really good,’” said Singh. “I started ordering them regularly, and I noticed that each bowl was equally consistent in taste. They were on the dot every time… They taste so good.”

Beyond flavor, the duo says their commitment to health and wellness made Vitality Bowls a perfect fit.

“We are big health advocates,” Singh explained. “We’re both from the Sikh community, and we’re huge advocates for longevity and healthier communities, and Vitality Bowls is super big on that. We’re providing great fresh fruit and healthy products—from the paninis all the way to the bowls. So the two biggest things were, it tastes phenomenal, and it’s really, really good for you.”

The Woodland shop will showcase Vitality Bowls’ signature menu, including cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and fully customizable açai bowls and other nutrient-rich bases like pitaya, cacao, organic coconut, and chia seed pudding. Everything is made without ice, frozen yogurt, artificial preservatives, trans fats, or any other fillers.

Singh says first-time visitors might be surprised by how vibrant and unusual the bowls look, but they quickly discover the flavors are delicious and approachable—even for those who don’t normally seek out healthy foods. “I think it’s definitely one of those things where you try it once and you’re like, ‘Why did I not try this before?’” he said.

On the savory side, Vitality Bowls’ menu features customizable wraps, toasts, paninis, salads, and grain bowls. Some fan favorites include the Steak Wrap, Superseed Avocado Toast, Chicken or Veggie Power Panini, Supergreen Goddess Salad, and Chimichurri Steak & Roasted Potato Bowl.

Rajasonsi said construction on the cold shell space will begin within the next month or so, with a tentative opening planned for July 2026. The location will accommodate roughly 15 guests indoors and another five to 10 on the outdoor patio.

Looking ahead, the duo hopes to expand Vitality Bowls across the Greater Sacramento area and beyond, targeting college towns like Davis and Chico, where health-conscious younger generations are eager for fresh, flavorful options.
