Club Pheasant in West Sacramento is on the cusp of a major revival.

After over 80 years under the care of the Palamidessi family, the beloved Italian-American restaurant at 2525 Jefferson Blvd will soon see new life—this time with a fresh family at the helm.

When the iconic restaurant shuttered in 2022, many feared it would be demolished. But Mayor Martha Guerrero believed the site was too important to lose, reports CBS13. To protect the landmark, the city purchased the property outright. Now, they’ve handed the keys to a trusted local team: the de vere White family of Irish Hospitality.

Known for their portfolio of local restaurants including The Snug, Ro Sham Beaux, and The Butterscotch Den, brothers Henry and Simon de vere White plan to transform the Club Pheasant site into a vibrant, modern gathering space and multi-concept dining hub. Instead of a single restaurant, the revamped space could feature up to six distinct spots to eat and drink.

While the full lineup hasn’t been finalized, the revitalized site is set to feature Jack’s Urban Eats, OBO’ Italian Table & Bar, and Temple Coffee. A new bar concept, aptly named Club Pheasant Bar, is also in the works.

According to the City of West Sacramento, plans for the revamped space include the addition of outdoor patios, areas for events and live entertainment, and plenty of room for community gatherings. One storefront will be reserved for a future local small business, keeping neighborhood spirit at the heart of the project. New structures will be added to the site, but the iconic Club Pheasant façade will remain intact.

The West Sacramento City Council approved the property sale and development proposal at its April 30, 2025 meeting. Once open, the project is expected to create around 200 local jobs.
