The Westfield Galleria in Roseville is welcoming several new tenants, including a local eatery offering modern comfort food. Q1227 Restaurant will occupy the former Cantina Laredo space at 1151 Galleria Blvd., Suite 1175. The 6,741-square-foot space has remained vacant since Cantina Laredo’s closure last September.

Q1227 currently operates at 1465 Eureka Road, Suite 100 in Roseville. The menu is Southern-driven, including unique starters like chicken-fried lobster bites and dry-aged lamb Wellington, shareable and flatbreads, and various entrees. The owner operator, Chef Quentin Bennett, also prepares a 3-course fixed-price menu.

The restaurant is relocating because Chef Q has been wanting a larger space for the business. The new location should start operating in spring 2024.

Chef Q’s love for food began with his mother’s cooking. Over his 25-year-plus culinary career, he has cooked for the U.S. Navy, worked in both private and corporate restaurant establishments, and cooked around the world. Previously, Chef Q helped to launch the phenomenal Echo & Rig Steakhouse, which gave him enough experience and knowledge when the opportunity to open his own restaurant knocked on the door in 2019.

Chef Q was not available for comments at the time of this coverage.
