Wing Zone, a new quick-service chicken franchise, has announced plans to expand into the Sacramento market this month. The franchise was acquired by Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop Inc. in 2021 and operates more than 35 locations throughout North America and another 30 internationally.

At the beginning of the acquisition, Wing Zone focused primarily on the Eastern US market due to supply chain limitations. The chain opened its first California location in Santa Clarita In November 2022, extending its footsteps onto the West Coast. Now, the company has announced aggressive growth plans targeting the Sacramento market.

David Bloom, Wing Zone’s Chief Development and Growth Officer, stated that the Sacramento market can support at least 12 locations. Ideal Wing Zone locations should be approximately 1,300 sqft, located inside retail centers with a good mix of daytime and nighttime traffic. As of now, Wing Zone has signed an agreement with one multi-unit franchisee, whose name was not disclosed, and is looking for more franchisees to join the team. The company is primarily looking for franchisees with other multi-unit operation experience, either as company owners or owners of other franchises.

The franchisee’s information was not available at the moment, and Bloom did not respond to What Now Sacramento‘s request for comments at the time of this coverage. The Sacramento locations are still under planning without any confirmed locations.
