The team behind a pair of local dim sum restaurants will soon launch a new eatery in Sacramento’s Vineyard neighborhood.

Building on its popularity in Davis and Roseville, Yang Kee Dumpling is rolling out a spinoff concept called Yang Kee Dim Sum & BBQ at 8347 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Suite 127, inside the Calvine Corner Shopping Center.

Owner-manager Jane Li told What Now Sacramento that while the Davis and Roseville locations operate as full-service restaurants, the Vineyard outpost will take a fast-casual approach. She added that it’s still undecided whether the new location will offer indoor dining.

Yang Kee debuted in South Davis in September 2022, quickly winning fans with its extensive dumpling selection, plus pan-Asian favorites such as chow mein and fried rice. A second location opened in Roseville’s Eureka Ridge Plaza in March 2024, bringing the same flavors to a new neighborhood.

Though barbecue dishes like BBQ Pork Fried Rice and Baked BBQ Bao already make an appearance at the existing eateries, the Vineyard spinoff will spotlight barbecue as the central focus.

Construction is underway, with Yang Kee Dim Sum & BBQ slated to debut around Thanksgiving 2025. For updates and sneak peeks, follow @yangkeedumpling2022 on Instagram.
