On November 14, 2023, the City of Roseville Planning Commission received a development application for Phase 2 of construction for a proposed Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in Roseville, located at the former Pier 1 Imports building at 1101 Galleria Blvd.
The project will include the demolition of an existing building and the construction of an 8,200 sf restaurant. The project also involves site work including modifications to the driveway, parking lot, and landscaping, according to the design plan filed by the business.
Fleming’s Steakhouse is owned by Bloomin’ Brands Inc. (Nasdaq: BLMN), which also operates Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Aussie Grill by Outback, totaling more than 1,450 restaurants worldwide. Fleming’s Steakhouse currently has 12 restaurants in California, including three in the Bay Area. The restaurant chain is known for the dry-aged and wet-aged specialty and classic cuts of steak, seafood, and a curated wine list.
The plans for a Roseville Fleming’s Steakhouse were originally filed in August but resubmittals were requested by the city in September and November. It appears that the City of Roseville will be reviewing the design plan in December. By the time of this coverage, a representative from Fleming’s did not respond to requests for comments and no detailed project timeframe was available at the moment. Other businesses in the same parcel include Olive Garden Italian, aP.F. Chang’s, Mikuni, and a few other restaurants.
