According to a recently submitted permit application, Einstein Bros. Bagels is expanding its San Antonio area footprint, planning to debut a new outpost in Universal City.
Coming to 3142 Pat Booker Road, Suite 120, the eatery will land near establishments such as Bubba’s, Happy Day Cafe, and Kung Fu Tea.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Einstein Bros. to inquire about their plans for the upcoming spot, but they could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing details that the finish out of the existing 1,500-square-foot space is slated to begin on May 30 and be completed on July 31, 2025. For an estimated $300,000, the work will be carried out by the Fort Worth-based firm Rogue Architects.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, “In 1995, the Einstein Bros. Bagels brand was created by Boston Market after it acquired multiple bagel shops to fall under the newly established brand,” the concept shares on its website.
“Fresh-baked bagels are how we roll. Our bakers get up every morning before the sun to fire up the ovens and begin the bagel-baking ritual. Batches of Classic, Signature, and Gourmet flavors are baked fresh throughout the day and ready for you to enjoy with your favorite double-whipped cream cheese shmear,” the introduction continues.
