Frank’s Pollo Asado Los Norteños is embarking on debuting its booming family-run Tex-Mex brand in Universal City. The restaurant is expected to open at 121 Pat Booker Road, according to Community Impact.
The restaurant announced plans to open in Universal City on a Facebook post, but didn’t share when.
What Now San Antonio reached out to co-owner Mayela Garcia to find out more details about the timeline, but didn’t hear back by the time of this publication.
“Pollos Asados Los Norteños started back in 2006 as a fundraiser for a new church in the Mexican town of Nueva Rosita, Coahuila. The whole family got involved, sons and daughters, brothers, sisters-in-law, and cousins,” the Frank’s Pollo Asada Los Norteños website reads.
“We started as a food truck on Rigsby Avenue, and thanks to our core family values, our traditional family recipe, and the help of our community today, we have two dine-in restaurants ready to serve the whole community.”
Now embarking on opening its third location, Frank’s Pollos Asados Los Norteños is continuing to boom, offering specialty pollo asado and classic Tex-Mex dishes.
“Grilled on the spot with fresh ingredients, and marinated on the same day, our chicken is of the best quality and taste,” the website reads.
“Using our traditional family recipe passed down from generation to generation with that authentic Mexican flavor many have come to love.”
Not only does Frank’s Pollo Asado Los Norteños cook up and dish out a variety of pollo asado dishes, but the restaurant also offers a variety of burgers, fajitas, desserts, and aguas frescas.
Universal City residents and visitors can rejoice in knowing that plans to open Frank’s Pollo Asado Los Norteños in the area are underway, but as to when, is still to be determined. Pay attention to Frank’s Pollo Asado Los Norteños Facebook page; we’re sure there will be an announcement made there.
