Jackie’s Desert Rose is preparing to open in San Antonio‘s Government Hill neighbourhood following the completion of a major renovation project.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the project involved the renovation of an existing 5,046-square-foot single-story building at 519 E. Josephine St. The renovation carried an estimated construction cost of $500,000.
Project records show construction began on March 1, 2023, with completion targeted for August 15, 2025. The filing is now listed as Review Complete.
The scope of work included restoring the building’s existing masonry veneer and steel structure, replacing the aluminium curtain wall with site-built steel and glass units, installing a beverage service area and completing additional interior improvements to prepare the space for its new use.
Property records list Jackie’s Desert Rose, LLC as the owner, while Aldridge Architecture Office served as the project’s design firm.
Although additional details about the concept have not yet been announced, the completed renovation suggests the project is nearing its next phase. The property is situated just north of downtown San Antonio in the rapidly evolving Government Hill area, which has seen continued investment in hospitality and mixed-use development.
