According to a recently submitted permit application, a new bar and restaurant concept, Pitch 25, is gearing up to open in San Antonio.
Coming to a 25,590-square-foot spot at 221 Burleson Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as Boxcar Bar, Burleson Yard Beer Garden, and Louie’s Icehouse.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s owner, Brian Ching, to inquire about his plans for the spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the concept’s website offers a brief introduction to the upcoming bar and restaurant: “Former Major League Soccer and US Men’s National Team player Brian Ching opened Pitch 25 to merge his passion for the game with community and entertainment. Inspired by his career and the vibrant soccer culture in Houston, Ching envisioned a space where fans could gather, enjoy drinks, and celebrate their love for soccer in a lively atmosphere. Pitch 25 stands not only as a bar but as a hub for camaraderie, uniting people through their shared enthusiasm for the beautiful game.”
Additionally, the filing reveals that the “interior renovation of an existing single-story exhibition hall with a mezzanine into a bar/restaurant” is scheduled to begin on February 16, 2026, and be completed on November 30. The Houston-based firm Cisneros Design Studio, Architects LLC, is tasked with managing the project for an estimated $4,000,000.
An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
