Tia’s Taco Hut, fresh off an opening in West San Antonio, is continuing its campaign in the city, developing yet another location on Fredericksburg Road, first reported in an article from My San Antonio. The popular taco chain is moving into a space on 4519 Fredericksburg Rd., which formerly housed a Wendy’s.
Tia’s Taco Hut was founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife duo Lisa and Benny Costello — they’re also the owners of Mr. C’s Fried Chicken & Waffles. They’ve expanded rapidly, operating 15 locations in San Antonio alone. This location isn’t even the only Tia’s currently in development. What Now San Antonio previously reported on a Tia’s Taco Hut opening in the Naco Retail Center, slated for a spring 2026 opening.
The Tex-Mex fast casual chain is known for their broad-spanning menu, breakfast to dinner. Tia’s offers Texas classics like chicken fried steak, authentic Mexican options like poblanas enchiladas and everything in-between.
Tia’s Taco Hut on Fredericksburg Road has not announced an opening date as of yet.
