Wingstop is planning a new San Antonio location at 314 S. WW White Road, bringing the chicken wing chain into an existing building that will undergo major tenant improvements ahead of opening.
The project, listed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) under TABS2026028186, calls for renovations to approximately 2,545 square feet of an existing building to accommodate the new Wingstop.
Construction is scheduled to begin October 18, 2026, with completion anticipated January 26, 2027. The project has an estimated construction cost of $300,000 and is privately funded.
The planned work includes demolition as needed, new interior partitions, updated wall, floor and ceiling finishes, new equipment, lighting and electrical systems, and mechanical improvements.
The location is planned for 314 S. WW White Road, San Antonio, TX 78219, in Bexar County.
Charles Loflin is expected to operate the Wingstop location through Rise Up Restaurants, formerly known as San Antonio Wings, Inc. The company controls the vast majority of Wingstop franchises across the San Antonio area.
Cody Thornton, who is listed as the tenant contact for the project, confirmed that he is not the owner but serves as Loflin’s Director of Development. Thornton also said the group has multiple new Wingstop locations planned for San Antonio.
Thornton noted that he would prefer to coordinate an interview with Loflin directly or speak with him before agreeing to an interview.
The project lists MCR Enterprises, LTD as the property owner, with Wilkus Architects serving as the design firm.
The new restaurant will add to Wingstop’s existing presence across San Antonio as the franchise group continues developing additional locations in the market.
With construction expected to begin in October, the 314 S. WW White Road location could be completed by January 2027, pending the project’s construction schedule.
WhatNow San Antonio will continue to follow the project and provide updates as more information becomes available.
