BASIC (Basic Assistance for Students in the Community) is a charitable organization that supports community education, especially for women. Soroptimist International of Borrego is an organization with a similar vision which supports women’s education and achievements.
Fine art show and sale, Circle of Art, used to get organized by BASIC for more than 30 years. But this year Soroptimist International will take the lead. Participation by visitors and artists will fuel the mission of these organizations and will uplift the community as whole.

The fascinating beauty of art pieces under the blue sky and against the scenic background of Anza-Borrego Desert Park is a rare view. Artists get a chance to show their talent and visitors’ fall is an appreciation for them, all this helps in the education of girls and women in the community.

Exhibitor and Booth Information

Approximately 70 artists join the event every year to showcase arts that will blow the mind of spectators. The application process for booth has already culminated on February 14, 2025. Entry for visitors is free. All the participating artists can go through the rules and regulations to avoid any end-moment hustle.
Proceeds of the event are collected via exhibitor fees and commission from the sales. A standard 12’X12’ booth structure will be allotted to the artists and they are expected to remain within their allotted spaces.

Circle of Art has been organized in Borrego Springs since 1989. Every year in March, Christmas Circle Park in the heart of the village becomes a beautiful showcase. This is a juried event and ever since its beginning, a variety of art forms are displayed. Photography, sculptures, oil and watercolors, ceramics, pottery, weaving and jewelry are to name a few.
The celebration of creativity and art via Circle of Art event continues to grow every year. It is an opportunity to admire the talent and support the education of needy. It is a must attend inspiring event that keeps the artistic spirit of visitors alive!
