According to a recent permit filing, UTC will welcome a new Italian Restaurant and Market. The unit is addressed at what is known to be The Collection at UTC, the newly developed area on La Jolla Village Drive created by Seritage Growth Properties.

Vanessa Uteau, Owner of the company The French Way that acts as the parent company to the business, was unable to share additional details to What Now San Diego in its initial planning stages.

Uteau is also linked to Lean and Green Cafe in La Jolla, a fast-casual restaurant serving health-conscious smoothies, wraps, salads, and power bowls. According to the Lean and Green Website, they were expected to join UTC in Spring of 2021. No word on if the new concept will replace the Lean and Green plans.

The new restaurant looks to be added to the area nearby newly opened Blue Bottle Coffee and Pacific Catch. We don’t know too much about what to expect about the project beyond being an Italian Restaurant and Market.

The concept has yet to be added to the Westfield UTC Directory but What Now San Diego will be on the lookout for updates about the new venture Coming Soon.
