Alohana Acai Bowls seem to be planning further expansion in San Diego’s North County. Lease information obtained by What Now San Diego places a third storefront in Melrose Square Shopping Center in Vista.
Established in 2015 by Founders Pete McAfee and Robert O’Quinn, Alohana was born from a need to find healthy food while working on the road supporting the action sports industry. Alohana Acai Bowls gained traction filling the niche for fueling active lifestyles in San Diego and Orange County.
Alohana Acai Bowls now operates locations in San Clemente and Carlsbad, plus three food trucks for catering and special events.
Their menu is straightforward with an acai or pitaya sorbet base, with fruit and granola toppings, and additional healthy add-ins like bee pollen, hemp seeds, and goji berries. Alohana sources fresh fruit locally and allows their high quality ingredients to shine rather than overload with unnecessary options.
No confirmation yet as to when the new Vista spot will open doors. What Now San Diego will update when information becomes available. For now, get your acai fix by checking out their upcoming schedule on their Website.
