Alohana Acai Bowls, a Hawaiian-inspired eatery with several locations throughout Southern California, is preparing to open two new locations, including one in San Marcos at 1646 San Elijo Road S, #107.

The company’s fourth San Diego location is set to replace Everbowl near the San Elijo Fountain, according to documentation submitted to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Co-owner Pete McAfee tells What Now San Diego that this location is expected to open by December 21, joining existing sites in Vista, Oceanside, and Carlsbad, the last being a to-go-only location. When this Alohana Acai Bowls opens, customers can expect a variety of delicious acai bowls, smoothies, and more.

This is just the beginning for Alohana Acai Bowls, who is already looking ahead into the new year. McAfee tells What Now San Diego that the company is working on a new location in Oceanside, by the new Front Wave Arena and So Cal Sports Park on Rancho Del Oro Road and Oceanside Boulevard. McAfee says this location is expected to open in March 2025.

This is a massive achievement for the owners, which includes Robert O’Quinn, who launched this concept in 2016 with McAfee. Since then, the founders have expanded the brand with three locations in San Diego County and three in Orange County. Today, the company is still a family-run business with a passion for growth. In addition to the six brick-and-mortar locations, the company has expanded to four trucks, allowing Alohana Acai Bowls to cater events throughout Southern California.
