BHC Chicken, which made its San Diego debut earlier this year in Sorrento Valley, is planning to open two more locations in San Diego County.
The South Korean chain restaurant opened its first location in the United States last year in Los Angeles, followed by its first San Diego site in Sorrento Valley, which opened at the beginning of the year. Now, the company is getting ready to open two more locations through franchise owner John Baik, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. BHC Chicken’s second San Diego site is prepared to open at 11983 Bernardo Plaza Drive in the Rancho Bernardo Town Center.
This location will be moving into the former home of Subway and was expected to open in mid-May, but delays have pushed it to open by the end of the year. Baik, who owns the BHC Chicken Franchise in San Diego County, said at the beginning of the year that he is also planning to open another location in Carlsbad, although an exact location and timeline have yet to be announced. When these locations open, customers can expect authentic Korean flavors and crispy fried chicken, among other dishes.
The new BHC Chicken Rancho Bernardo is just one of many new faces at the shopping center this year. In late May, a new restaurant called Sapphire Indian Cuisine moved into the former home of Dragon Style Buffet, while Genki Sushi recently replaced Akai Hana. A second location of Escondido’s China Fun Authentic Noodle House also opened at RB Town Center. Finally, Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe is expected to open at the shopping center later this year, with construction underway.
