Known for their tacos, tequila, and fiesta-style atmosphere, Blanco recently announced on social media that they’ll be introducing their uniquely Southwest Mexican flavors to Coronado next. Blanco Cocina + Cantina is expected to replace Bistro D’Asia on Orange Avenue, steps from Hotel Del Coronado.

Led by the Phoenix-based Fox Restaurant Concepts, Blanco currently operates 10 locations mostly across Arizona but with stops in Illinois, Tennessee, Texas, and one location in Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego.

The Blanco Cocina + Cantina concept seems no different than the original Tacos + Tequila, except perhaps with the addition of an expanded outdoor patio set up to lounge and enjoy their wide variety of margaritas and tequila flights.

Their menu features Sonoran-style Mexican cuisine with Fajitas fresh from the grill, Tucson Chimichangas, warm Queso dip, and Cheese Crisps, their pizza-style tortillas topped with cheese.

The second San Diego stop is expected to debut in Coronado sometime in 2023. Until then, find Blanco on Instagram for updates and seasonal menu items.
