Anyone traveling through Talmadge will soon have a new place to grab a drink as Clem’s Station is planning to open in the next few months.
It replaces Romeo & Julieta on Monroe Avenue.
“Here we are eight years later turning off the open sign for the last time,” Romeo & Julieta Cafe posted to Facebook earlier this month. “We are so grateful for the outpouring of support and the relationships we’ve built over the last eight years.”
It was sold in early April.
The new taproom shares the same owners as Clem’s Taphouse and Clem’s Bottle House & Deli, though Owner Paul Kasawdish said he would be “changing it up from what he already has.”
Clem’s Taphouse opened on Adams Avenue in Kensington and with 50 beers on tap, it serves a food menu that includes paninis, pizza, and more.
Kasawdish said Clem’s Station’s menu would be slightly different featuring burgers, pizza, and popular bar foods. He said the plan is to convert the existing space into a taproom.
With around 1,100 square feet and an outdoor patio, Clem’s Station will have 24 tap craft beers, a full bar, and televisions all-around for customers to catch the latest games.
Kasawdish hopes to open by the end of May or early June.
