Fast-growing cookie chain, Cookie Plug, is planning to bring its second location to Central San Diego. A recent permit filing places the hip-hop-inspired cookie company’s next spot replacing CrunchTime Popcorn & Ice Cream shop near Petco Park in the Gaslamp Quarter

Operating 35 locations and counting, Cookie Plug got its start in 2019 and reached 25 locations in the US in its first three years. Cookie Plug now has over 150 new locations now in development and has opened three corporate-owned shops in San Diego’s North County.

Local franchisee Steve Sharp opened his first Cookie Plug location in University Heights earlier this month. Each spot is decked out with neighborhood-specific, graffiti-style artwork, and blasts of color.

The stash includes flavors like the OG chocolate chip cookie, the Mac Daddy white chocolate macadamia, Snooperdoodle, Bam Bam (fruity cereal cookie), Purple Haze (purple velvet), with a secret stash of new flavas each month, and “erryday hook-ups” in store.

Cookie Plug in the Gaslamp is expected to open by August 2023. Get to know the menu by visiting the website and stay updated with Cookie Plug San Diego by following their Facebook page.
