Eggholic, a national franchise that specializes in a variety of Indian street foods, is getting ready to make its San Diego debut with the opening of a new location in Miramar at 9474 Black Mountain Road, Suites G-H.

Franchisee Chintu Patel will own and operate the company’s first site in San Diego. He tells What Now San Diego that he hopes to open this location in the first week of March 2025. Patel hopes this will be the first of many Eggholic locations in San Diego and is looking for additional sites. For now, he will focus on the debut in Miramar, featuring various authentic Indian foods made to order using the freshest ingredients. This will mark the first location in both San Diego and California.

While Eggholic is getting ready for its San Diego debut, it’s one of many new locations in development for the company. After recently opening locations in Naperville, IL; Washington DC; London (Canada); and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the company has four additional sites, including San Diego, on its radar. Next, Eggholic will open locations in Newark, CA; Birmingham, AL; and London (UK). It won’t be long until these unique egg-based Indian dishes will be all over the country.

“Growing up in India, there were so many food options,” according to the company’s website. “But our favorite was Egg Night. By eggs, we don’t mean your ordinary omelet or scrambled eggs. Anyone can scramble an egg or cook up an omelette, but to add the right seasonings takes skill. And that’s what we have perfected. That’s what inspired us to bring Indian-style eggs to America. We might be Egg Holics but our love and skills have brought a twist to Indian street food not seen around America. We offer a wide variety of Indian street food that tastes just like the lahris (Street Cart) found back in India. Whether you are looking for eggs cooked in different forms with yummy gravies, a variety of sandwiches, flavorful rice, or chaat, we’ve got it! Just like the lahris (Street Cart) in India, our meals are cooked on the spot with fresh ingredients. Our unique blend of spices will take you straight to food heaven.”
