Eppig Brewing announced via social media they’ll be bringing their next taproom to La Jolla next. According to a recent application filing to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, San Diego’s lager-friendly brewery will replace a former gallery space on Prospect Street in La Jolla Village.
The brewery became well known for their original location in North Park as part of the Brewery Igniter in 2016. Since outgrowing the Igniter space, they have since upgraded to a larger production facility and taproom in Vista. Eppig also operates the Waterfront Biergarten in Point Loma, which opened in 2018.
Eppig Brewing has won various awards for beers like the Pilsner, Vienna Lager, 10:45 to Denver IPA, and the Glitz & Glam Berliner Weisse.
San Diego Beer News reports the team from Eppig has signed a lease on a 1,300-square-foot space and is expected to open in September 2022, just in time for Labor Day festivities. Further renovations and updates to the space are planned later in 2023. For more information, follow Eppig on Instagram.
