San Juan Capistrano’s Heritage Barbecue is bringing their award-winning barbecue to San Diego. The Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant will add a second location in South Oceanside this year.

Heritage Barbecue & Brewery will move into a 10,000 square foot indoor/outdoor space previously occupied by Municipal Taco.

“Our family just moved to Oceanside and we already love it here,” pitmaster and co-owner Daniel Castillo shares via press release. “The community is home to so many amazing emerging concepts, we felt this would be perfect for the next chapter of Heritage Barbecue.”

Guests can expect handcrafted barbecue, beers brewed onsite, and craft cocktails. Heritage is known for their SoCal meets Texas style bbq, with popular menu items like the Texas Trinity of smoked brisket, housemade sausage and ribs, plus Brisket Banh Mi, Pastrami Tortas, and Chips & Queso.

Heritage Barbecue & Brewery is projected to open by year’s end. Get to know Heritage Barbecue by following their Facebook page.
