Hailed as one of the “OG’s of Bubble Tea” according to their website, Kung Fu Tea looks to expand with another San Diego stop. A permit has been filed with the city to open their next location at Rancho San Diego Towne Center on Jamacha Road in El Cajon.
The tea company was founded in Queens, NY back in 2010 and have since opened over 250 stores nationwide. The franchise business currently operates shops in Convoy, National City, Santee, Carmel Mountain, and San Marcos.
Much like practicing actual Kung Fu, the tea shop has mastered the art of brewing by means of patience and discipline. Kung Fu Tea celebrates their founders’ love for authentic Taiwanese tea styles while adding creative twists to their menu and seasonal offerings.
Best-selling drinks include Classic Teas, Milk Teas, and Slushes. Their current seasonal drink special is the Pumpkin Oolong Milk Tea, served Iced or Hot.
No word yet on when the new shop is planned to open. Kung Fu Tea will be neighbors to Broken Yolk Cafe, Rubio’s Coastal Grill, Dickey’s BBQ, and Hyshinu Ramen and Poke at Rancho San Diego Towne Center Shopping Mall. For all Kung Fu Tea locations and their story, visit the Website.
