Lady G’s Canteen announced via social media that their first brick-and-mortar restaurant is coming soon. The East County based business will be replacing the now closed vegan restaurant Veg’n Out at Grossmont Center in La Mesa.
Specializing in Filipino cuisine, Lady G’s Canteen is a regular on the local Farmers Market scene. Owner Jemmalyn Mitchell brings home style, vegan friendly, Filipino-American dishes to local vegan pop-up events and Hillcrest, Carlsbad, and Oceanside Farmers markets.
Lady G’s Canteen is a go-to caterer for special events, serving party trays of authentic lumpia in a variety of options, including vegan or dessert lumpia. You can regularly find them serving Pancit, Bistek rice bowls, chicken and rice congee, and fresh squeezed Calamansi juice.
No word yet if Lady G’s will be expanding their menu for their upcoming restaurant. Stay tuned for an opening announcement by following Lady G’s Canteen on Instagram.
