Little Fox Cups + Cones, an ice cream parlor based in Oceanside, is preparing to open a new location in Cardiff at 113 Chesterfield Drive.

The company’s second site will be 789 square feet and is set to open in the heart of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, according to a recent submission to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Owner Meghan Golden tells What Now San Diego she recently signed the lease for the space and hopes to open around July 2025. When it opens, customers can expect a variety of classic and inventive flavors, such as ice cream tacos.

Golden opened Little Fox Cups & Cones in late 2023 at the Freeman Collective after serving in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. The business owner launched this concept after participating in a national cocktail competition, where she eventually turned some leftover cold brew cream from her drink recipe into a batch of ice cream. Since then, the idea has bloomed into a brick-and-mortar in South Oceanside at 1940 S. Freeman Street. Now, the company will expand to a second location for the first time.

“We make all of our ice cream from scratch,” according to the company’s website. “That means we start with cream, milk, and eggs and add all kinds of great ingredients to make some pretty unique flavors. One of the favorites right now is our ‘ch-apple rhone, an apple cider cream made with smit cider from our local farmers market and a chai caramel swirled throughout …it will turn you into a super modern girl in no time… so you’ve got to try it.
