Longhorn Steakhouse is preparing to replace a former Marie Callender’s restaurant on Rancho California Road in Temecula. The casual dining steak chain will take over the 8,539 square foot indoor and outdoor space with pond views.

Longhorn Steakhouse is operated by Florida-based Darden Restaurants, who also run Olive Garden and Yard House restaurants among many others. There are more than 500 Longhorn Steakhouse locations across North America. The nearest location in Southern California is currently in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The grill-masters are known for their fresh, never-frozen steaks. Made for meat lovers, their menu is robust with a variety of “Legendary Steaks,” along with hearty side dishes, and other entrees fresh from the grill like ribs and burgers.

What Now San Diego has reached out to parent company Darden Restaurants for an opening timeline for Temecula and will update when information becomes available. Follow Longhorn Steakhouse on Facebook for more information.
