In the works since 2020, the team from Puesto are planning for a new Italian concept called Marisi Italiano. The restaurant will take over the former Whisknladle location which closed last year, neighboring Puesto on Wall Street in La Jolla.
Launched in 2012 by San Diego family members The Adlers and Lombrozo’s, Puesto now operates nine restaurants in San Diego, Orange County, and the Bay Area.
According to their Instagram, “Marisi celebrates the rich diversity of cuisine from across Italy, well-grounded in timeless dishes fashioned in a time-honored tradition of handmade all day, every day.”
While we wait for the continued development of the concept and menu, their current marketing suggest fresh ingredients, high-quality vegetables, and seafood “salted by the sea.”
