North Park Beer Company is expanding into Pacific Beach with a new pizza concept coming soon to 3805 Ingraham St.

The brewing company is operating from North Park and Bankers Hill, but they will be trying a new concept in a different part of San Diego. The owners recently submitted an application to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality to open a North Park Beer Co. Pizza Shop on the ground floor of The Point in the former home of The Hen House. There is no exact timeline for the opening of this new concept, but it will likely open later this year.

If approved, North Park Beer Co. Pizza Shop will move into a busy area along Ingram Street, sitting across the street from Bayside Landing, Rocky’s Crown Pub, and The Grounds Bean Bar. Knowing the company, this will be a laid-back neighborhood spot that welcomes everyone, with delicious pizza options and likely some of North Park Beer Company’s own beers available for purchase.

Kelsey McNair, the company’s Head Brewer, and Proprietor, began homebrewing in 2004 and quickly found great success. One of his first beers, Hop-Fu! IPA had become the single most award-winning homebrew recipe in history and in the most competitive category — the American IPA. North Park Beer Co. opened its doors In June 2016 and has since become a fitting tribute to its namesake neighborhood. The new Pacific Beach site will be the first time the company expands north.
