Ohana Nutrition will make its debut in La Mesa, serving healthy smoothies and energy teas. According to a recent permit filing with the city, the location will join Helix Plaza at 7432 University Avenue near La Mesa High School.
The cafe is linked to two local wellness entrepreneurs and follows a trend of Ohana Nutrition locations popping up in the US.
The Ohana Nutrition brand is an offshoot of the Herbalife company that specializes in health and wellness products. The brand sells a variety of vitamin supplements, protein powders, products said to yield strong beauty benefits, and pre-workout or post-workout recovery enhancers.
Ohana Nutrition Cafes serve up a wide range of protein-rich shakes and smoothies, Herbawaffles (protein-based waffles) with fruit and toppings, and creative blends of fruited teas.
