Since 2014, founder and distiller Michael Skubic of Old Harbor Distilling, has been bringing San Diego spirits with names like ‘Barrelflag Navy Strength Rum,’ ‘Ampersand Cold Pressed Coffee Liqueur,’ and, the flagship, ‘San Miguel Southwestern Gin.’

The distillery, which opened in the East Village Neighborhood, is the first in downtown San Diego’s history, boasts Old Harbor’s website. Now, the distillery has plans to open a satellite location in Seaport Village.

Sharing an article covering the expansion, Old Harbor’s Facebook posted only yesterday, “Dropping anchor at Seaport Village in the near future. We can’t wait to serve you some craft spirits & seafood!” According to Sandiegoville, Old Harbor Distilling will take over the space most recently occupied by Village Café.

An Instagram post from Old Harbor Distilling elaborates, “We found ourselves a second home down at the harbor in Seaport Village! Opening late 2021/early 2022.”

Skubic was unavailable for comment at the time of this article, but be assured, with its home secured, Old Harbor Distilling will be serving up spirits seaside, very soon.
