Panera Bread is working on their latest location in Midway District according to a recent development permit issued by the city. The work order includes potential destruction of the former building in order to add a drive-thru, outdoor awning, and development of the parking lot.
Signage is up at the new location on Sports Arena Boulevard next door to the Wyndham Garden Hotel near SeaWorld. The space formerly housed restaurants like Santa Fe Grille and Du-Par’s Restaurant and Bakery.
The development is led by Manna Development Group, one of Panera Bread’s largest franchisees. Headquartered in Encinitas, CA, Manna Development Group owns and operates 133 Panera Bread cafes in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Michigan, and Indiana according to their Website.
