Pizza Guys, the Sacramento-founded pizza franchise known for its customizable pies and signature sauces, is preparing to open a new restaurant in San Diego at 5375 Napa Street, Suite 105.
The company’s newest location will replace the former Fantastic Sams space within the Shops at Arrive Mission Valley. Franchise owner Mert Egilmez tells What Now San Diego that the restaurant is expected to open in the next four to six weeks. The opening marks the company’s fourth area location, joining existing restaurants in Pacific Beach, Escondido, and Oceanside.
Pizza Guys offers a menu of signature pizzas, pasta dishes, wings, and salads. Guests can choose from options such as the Pizza Guys Combo, Garlic Lovers Pizza, and Creamy Pesto Chicken Pizza, as well as a full lineup of gluten-free pies. The chain also serves appetizers, including Cheezee Bacon Bread and Muncheez—potato-covered jalapeños filled with cheddar cheese and served with ranch.
Founded in 1986 in Sacramento, Pizza Guys has expanded to over 100 locations across California, Nevada, and Texas. The company has been recognized as one of Yelp’s Top 25 Pizza Chains in America and has maintained a strong community presence through partnerships with the Sacramento Kings and the American Cancer Society.
The Mission Valley restaurant will follow the brand’s quick-service model, focusing on takeout, delivery, and online ordering. The location aims to serve both residents and visitors to the surrounding retail center, which continues to attract a mix of new dining and service concepts.
Egilmez’s new location joins Pizza Guys’ ongoing expansion throughout Southern California, including an upcoming location in Westminster, which a separate franchise owner will operate. The brand continues to emphasize fresh ingredients and customizable menu options as it grows its presence statewide.
