Pura Vida Cafe is ready to reveal its new space in Mission Beach. The coffee shop and casual eatery is expected to open in the octangular building formerly occupied by Mr. Beast Burger and Gabbiano’s Pizza before that.

Owner Tammy Henson tells What Now San Diego that Pura Vida offers a relaxed vibe at their new space just steps from the beach.

“We’re a specialty coffee cafe with plenty of healthy food options like avocado toast, salads, cold-pressed juices, and a grab-and-go cooler for options like overnight oats. Plus Blackmarket Bakery pastries like homemade pop tarts,” Henson shares.

Another popular option is the blue acai bowl, a coconutty treat that stands out from your typical acai bowls and just one of the many fresh options on the menu.

Their outdoor patio is the perfect place for people-watching along Mission Boulevard and enjoying a breakfast sandwich paired with premium roasts by Onyx Coffee Lab. Henson shares that Pura Vida is one of the rare places to grab Onyx Coffee, an Arkansas-based roaster that has won high-level Brewers Cup Championship awards nationally and globally.

Pura Vida Mission Beach will officially welcome in guests this Labor Day weekend. Pura Vida is located at 2912 Mission Boulevard. Get to know the new cafe by following Pura Vida on Instagram
