San Diego Kabob Shack is working on its second South County restaurant. The popular Middle Eastern eatery has recently joined Eastlake Terraces shopping center in Chula Vista, replacing a former Pizza Hut location.
Owner Said Hofiani tells What Now San Diego they jumped on the opportunity to expand in Chula Vista in a second-generation restaurant space.
Labeled as an urban Afghan restaurant, the San Diego Kabob Shack features a menu of California-inspired Middle Eastern options like the California Shah fries, kabob plates, wraps, salads, and burgers.
Another guest favorite is the California Kabob Wrap, which is their unique take on a California-style burrito, filled with fresh veggies, house sauce, your protein of choice like Steak Tikka or falafel, plus guacamole and fries.
Hofiani shares that they anticipate a quick turnaround of the former pizza place. San Diego Kabob Shack is anticipated to open by November 2023 in Eastlake. Follow on Instagram for updates.
