The restaurant group that has brought San Diegans eateries like FIREHOUSE, Vin De Syrah, and Kettner Exchange, will open its latest venture, Camino Riviera, in San Diego later this summer.
SDCM, owned and operated by Matthew Spencer, has taken over Little Italy’s El Camino and intends to re-open the restaurant as a new Tulum-inspired concept. The group’s Executive Chef Brian Redzikowski leads menu development at all of SDCM’s restaurants.
According to Sandiegoville, Camino Riviera will open after the indoor-outdoor space that formerly housed Mauricio Couturier and Ricardo Muller’s El Camino has gone through an extensive remodeling. Camino Riviera’s new design will be inspired by Mexico’s Riviera Maya Caribbean coastline. The rebranded eatery’s drink menu will reportedly get a once-over from a mixologist and offer an agave-based craft cocktails list.
On June 2nd, the eatery’s social media channels announced the restaurant will be “coming to Little Italy this summer,” and when they do you should expect, “award winning cuisine with a little edge.” Keep an eye on Camino Riviera’s accounts for updates.
